2021 Rookie of the Year - Allison Johnson Allison seemed to join the league when the league needed Allison the most. Being online added uncertainty and nerves to a level we were unfamiliar with. Allison seemed to have a poise about her that would resonate in any setting. Her first year in the league caught the attention of other students, coaches, and staff by the way Allison could carry every curve ball sent her way. If her teammates were running figurative circles around her, she was there in the center making it all make sense. Allison's voice and perspective was the example that the league noticed and tried to imitate. For a first year performer to have this much of an impact, it is no wonder she won our Rookie of the Year Award.
2020 Rookie of the Year - Isiah Danjou Our Inaugural Rookie of the Year Award couldn't have been awarded to a better spirited young man. The league for years lobbied for a Rookie of the Year Award and 2020 was the year of Isiah. Isiah, a senior at Cheyenne High School, took on his senior year like a seasoned pro. This being the his only year and experience in improv, his kindness, manners, and care for others made him stand out on stage, backstage, at practice, and just in life. It was easy for the league to recognize someone who went out of there way to be pleasant when our world typically just wants out of the way. One year just wasn't enough Isiah time, but no one could argue that the league isn't a better league having had Isiah a part of it.
